Why: Introduced in 1979, the Lyman Orchards' Country Amateur Championship tournament was a two-day best ball that drew players from all over New England to compete against the best. It’s anticipated that 60 golfers from all throughout New England will compete in the Professional division, including four former CT Open Winners.

The renowned Robert Trent Jones course hosts the Monday qualifier for the Traveler’s Championship, the CT PGA Championship, CT Pub Links, multiple Junior Tour events and numerous collegiate events, and will be a host site for the 2017 U.S. Amateur Qualifier in July.
