Valentine's Cake Decorating Workshop for Kids!

Children will love dressing up as a Lyman Orchard baker and decorating e a special heart-shaped cake for Valentine's Day, with lots of delicious sweet icing, candies, and more! This fun, hands-on workshop will take place in the Apple Barrel Bakery. Parents are welcomed to watch and assist, if necessary.

The sky's the limit when it comes to a child's imagination! Enjoy the fun of watching children creating custom fruit baskets with fresh fruit, candies, cookies, and more treats! Taught by master gift maker Jim Watson. All materials are provided. Pre-registration and pre-payment required.

Gingerbread House Workshop at the Lyman Homestead (for Adults!) Date and time to be announced!
We think adults deserve some holiday fun, too! Enjoy making your own Gingerbread House in the festively decorated Lyman Homestead. Bring your own wine or beer! All 'construction materials,' hors d'oeuvres, soft drinks, and hot spiced apple cider are provided.
Pre-paid reservations are required. Only adults aged 21 yrs or older may participate.

The best ice carvers in America return to do battle in our second annual Ice Wars Competition!
Nationally renowned ice carvers will test their daring and skills as they all vie for prestige and a First Place finish!
Amid the whirring of chain saws, the blur of expertly wielded chisel and picks bringing icy details into focus, thousands of pounds of ice blocks will be magically transformed before your eyes into incredible sparkling ice sculptures!
There's more fun, too! Watch dog sled mushing demonstrations by the Connecticut Valley Siberian Husky Club, and, in the Apple Barrel, enjoy all the free samples you can eat!
Pruning is a major activity in our orchard during the winter. Enjoy watching a live demonstration of fruit tree pruning conducted by our very own expert, John Van Woerden. With Mother Nature's cooperation (we're hoping for enough snow, but not too much), family snow tubing, and more fun, fresh-air winter activities will be available, too!
