Directions

Lyman Orchards is located at the junctions of Rte. 147 and Rte. 157 in Middlefield, Connecticut. The main entrances to both the Apple Barrel and the Golf Club are located off Rte. 157. The Lyman Homestead is located on the corner of Rte. 147 and Lyman Road, east of the Apple Barrel.

From Hartford

• Follow I-91 South to Exit 20.
• Turn LEFT onto Middle Street.
• Make an immediate LEFT onto Country Club Road.
• Follow Country Club Road for 1.6 miles.
• Turn RIGHT onto Higby Road.
• Higby Road becomes Jackson Hill Road.
• Follow to end, merge with Rte. 157 South.
• Follow approximately one mile.
• Stay on Rte. 157 as it turns RIGHT.
• The entrances to the Apple Barrel and the Golf Club will be on your LEFT.

• Follow I-84 East to I-691 East.
• I-691 becomes Rte. 66.
• Proceed east toward Middletown.
• Turn RIGHT onto Rte. 147.
• Rte. 147 merges with Rte. 157 (Bear RIGHT).
• Turn RIGHT on Rte. 157.
• The entrances to the Apple Barrel and the Golf Club will be on your LEFT.

From New Haven

• Follow I-91 North to Exit 15 (Durham-Yalesville).
• Turn RIGHT onto Rte. 68.
• Follow Rte. 68 for 2.5 miles.
• Turn LEFT onto Rte. 157.
• Continue for 1.5 miles.
• The entrance to the Golf Club will be on your RIGHT.
• Continue an additional 1/2 mile, the entrance to the Apple Barrel will be on your RIGHT.

From the South and Shore points

• Follow Rte. 9 North to Exit 11 (Rte. 155 South - Randolph Road).
• Turn LEFT onto Randolph Road.
• Turn LEFT onto Rte. 17 at traffic light.
• Proceed south to Durham (approx. 4 miles).
• Turn RIGHT onto Rte. 147 at first Durham traffic light.
• Proceed 2 miles, turn LEFT onto Rte. 157.
• The entrances to the Apple Barrel and the Golf Club will be on your LEFT.

• Follow Rte. 9 South to Exit 20-S (I-91 South).
• Follow I-91 South to Exit 20.
• Turn LEFT onto Middle Street.
• Make an immediate LEFT onto Country Club Road.

• Turn RIGHT onto Higby Road.

• Follow Rte. 66 West over Arrigoni (Portland) Bridge and onto Main Street in Middletown.
• Turn RIGHT onto Rte. 17 (South Main Street).
• Proceed South to Durham (approx. 6 miles).
• Turn RIGHT onto Rte. 147 at first Durham traffic light.
• Proceed 2 miles, turn LEFT onto Rte. 157.
• The entrances to the Apple Barrel and the Golf Club will be on your LEFT.

• Follow Rte. 79 North from Madison or Rte. 77 North from Guilford.
• Both Rte. 79 and Rte. 77 join Rte. 17 in Durham.
• Follow Rte. 17 North to Rte. 147.
• Turn LEFT onto Rte 147.
• Proceed 2 miles and turn LEFT onto Rte. 157.
• The entrances to the Apple Barrel and the Golf Club will be on your LEFT.

• Take the Merritt Parkway/Wilbur Cross Parkway North to exit 67 in Meriden.
• Turn RIGHT onto East Main Street, which joins Rte. 66.
• Turn RIGHT onto Rte. 147. Rte. 147 merges with Rte. 157 (Bear RIGHT).
• Turn RIGHT onto Rte. 157.
• The entrances to the Apple Barrel and the Golf Club will be on your LEFT.
